Battery Drain

Default Battery Drain

My 2006 f150 was going dead in three or four days. I went and got a new battery thinking it was that but after a month it started to do the same thing. I think it has a short somewere. I dont know were to start looking for it. Has any one else had this problem or know were to start looking?

my 2006 f 150 5.4l i just had the same problem i have not found the issue yet if you find out please let me know anyone please i just spent 160.00 for a optima and it went dead in 3 days

Get a test light and start pulling fuses one by one. It helps if you have a buddy help. That's the only way I know to track it down.

Do that and also if no results from that test, you can pull your stereo and see if have a issue with that. Generally that only happens though if you are running an amp and rare at that.

have factory radio and i will try the other things folks said

i checked the grd cable and it is tight i am stumped and can't figure it out i started it today after i jumped it yesterday and all is good now i will let it sit for 2 days and see if that happens again that i need to jump it

anybody else have any ideas to check i have no codes truck has only 46,000 miles on it and giving me problem already i hope it was not a truck made on a FRIDAY hahahahaha
please any one else has any good ideas i would love to hear

Thanks for all the help guys. I am still having the problem thoe. It went dead with in two days a week ago. I dont know what to do I even took it to ford and when it was there they said it didnt go dead. I hate trying to get warranty work done. How could i test how much it is pulling from the batterie.
