Barely Runs, Random Misfires

Well I have been cycling the key and got about 5 gallons out. Found out the fuel pump relay is soldered into the board. Noticed the fuel pump noise changes. Sometimes it is a light humming noise and other times it sounds like a small dremel tool grinding on something just not as loud. I think this is a sign of a bad fuel pump. Gas coming out is not dirty and doesn't have a bunch of water in it.

The only water I found in the fuel was from the filter and that was the only spot where the fuel was darker in color. There is no water in the bottom of the tank and the fuel looks clean.(normal fuel color)

Update: Went to the garage and walked in to hear "You've got problems" The truck has timing codes that my cheap scan tool did not pick up on. I wish it would have so I wouldn't have wasted my time chasing a fuel issue. He installed new VCT solenoids due to the other ones being "blown out" and the problem is still there so he is leaning towards the cam phasers themselves. He is calling around to get some prices for me. Anyone have any idea of what a good price is to get the phasers replaced? The mechanic doing it is a good guy and won't rip me off, just want an opinon on a good price.
