Is there a bar that you have to mount it on?

If u want to put 4 lights behind the grill, Hella 500ff, if u just want 2 lights Hella 700ff, I have the 700's not as bright as I want though so I'm going to install hid's in them. Amazon has the lights for a good price

So I just put 130w bulbs in my What use to be 55w Hella lights... had them running for about 5 mins then they just shut off?? Fuse is fine everything seems to be fine and in place! Could I be because the wire gauge is to small?

More than likely, you fried something in the light. To find out how many amps you are pulling divide the watts by the voltage. In your case 130/12=10.8 with alternator off. 9.3amps alternator running( 14v if alternator works). Two lights on the same wire that's 20 amps. You would need at least 10ga wire and 25amp fuse. If it was the stock kit, you probably messed up the wiring to the bulbs or burnt a bulb.

Smittybilt also has a couple of bars just for light mounting. They're about 120 shipped. You can mount up to 4 lights on there.

As soon as the weather clears up here, I will get some pics of my setup for ya. Non stop rain. I also will load up my wiring diagram I made to run the wires. Let ya know when it happens.

my question with putting them behind the grill is do they actually out shine your headlights? or are they just for looks?
