Default ball joint time

ok, upper ball joints are bad in my truck due to tire size and leveling kit. here's the question:

am i going to have to replace the whole upper arm?

or

does MOOG make a replacement balljoint for the upper and lower? i dont have the money for the parts just yet, but the cheapest solution while helping my truck handle my tires a lil better would really help

I believe you have to replace the entire control arm. How can you tell when your ball joints are bad? I broke the rubber boots on both of mine and I need to replace them at some point but since you have to replace the entire control arm I am going to wait it out until they get bad, I'm just not sure how you know.

ya im goin with moog on mine, or a tougher control arm.

to check ur balljoints, but it up on a jack and push the upper part of the tire, if there's play, then its startin to give out. also, get a crowbar and brace it under the tire and lift up to see if there's any play there as well.

this stuff is gna cost me an arm and a leg...

alot of people have said that Total Chaos makes a damn good arm for leveled trucks, but its a hefty price. any other options? oh, and i just got my Edge programmer in. whoop!

do you have to drill out the top of the spindle assembly for those to bolt??? i saw on the total chaos was talkin bout that online, but they make a adapter so it will be no drill install
