Ball Joint / Leveling Kit Help

Easiest way is to get a good ratchet strap.Hook on lower and upper control arm it was very easy took 5 minutes per side to attatch the upper balljoint. Couple cranks on the strap and you can get your threads through to tighten/torque down

That's a good idea.

The boot is not torn, I made sure of that. I got an impact but still just spinning! I dont know what the torque rating is on the impact. It might be too low to tighten it? I already have the LCA jacked up a bunch. I think it might be cross-threaded unfortunately. I cannot tighten or loosen it! What a headache.

I used needle nose vise grips to grab the ball joint shaft above the knuckle hole and hold it tight while I tightened up the but as much as possible. Or in your case you need to back it off so you can inspect the threads and retry. You don't even need an impact, screw guns work just fine for zapping stuff and then torquing down with a wrench.

I cannot get the nut off the ball joint! I tried using vise grips and a wrench. I tried a vise grips and an impact. If i heat up the nut a bunch will it help get it off? I can buy a new nut if the threads are shot or probably just replace the upper ball joint. So do you guys think heat will work, I will try the ratchet strap in the morning.

I'd get a small butane/propane torch and heat ONLY THE NUT. If you get the bolt then it will expand too. It's worth a try but I don't think it will work. The nut isn't seized on the bolt with rust and old age, it's cross threaded (at least that's what your telling us).
The heat is worth the try. If it fails then cut the ball joint off with a reciprocating saw and replace it and be more careful next time. Whatever you do, do not button up your truck and drive it to a shop because it's not safe. Either fix it yourself or get it towed.
DIY jobs typically saves you money if your careful, have proper tools, time and patience.

I am not in a hurry, I have a different car to drive. I will not be driving it to a shop, I know I can just cut the nut with a grinder and replace the ball joint if necessary.
And no I had the nut off a few days ago so it cannot be stuck with rust or age. It was less than a week ago that I had it apart.

I didn't find them that cheap. My local auto parts store has then for $66 a side so I am just replacing it all noe anyways. Heating the nut up got it to come off pretty quickly. I appreciate all the help guys. I should have just replaced it all from the beginning.
