Default Bad idler/tensioner

My 08 with the 5.4 had what I thought was a bad idler at 93k. Could hear it at high rpm, so I took the belt of and spun all the idlers and tensioner by hand and found one of the smooth idlers with a bad bearing. Everything else was still good, or so I thought. Ordered a new idler and belt from rock auto. Just pulled belt and idler off today to change and found all others to be bad also. Has anybody else had these go bad. I've seen the tensioners go bad, but I cannot recall ever changing an idler in the past.

It's definitely possible, I went through all mine at 130k. The tensioner sounded like a supercharger. While I was replacing that, I replaced the belt and all the idler pulleys since I was in there.

Yeah...I've changed all idlers on mine...and the tensioner twice. Had one idler that sounded like a very upset cat

I had an idler go bad at around 190k. Sounded exactly like a bad steering pump.
