Default background color for gauge pod

I was looking thru the photo albums and noticed some trucks with white background on gauges.
That is one thing that i didnt like aobut my truck is that when you are going down the road and it is real sunny outside I cant see the gauges.
This leads up to my question - is this something that an owner can do or does it have to go to a dealer or shop etc? and is there a bette place to get these than another?

thanks for replies

I've seen this done on T.V. You can do it yourself, doesn't look too difficult. You just have to mark the position of the needles before you remove them, then put the new face on like a sticker. I guess it might be easy to accidentally move a shaft for the needle and screw it up, but you can always check them before final assembly by taking note of the positions of the needles when the key is turned forward and making sure they match.

im with sean i read on stylins site that you can start your truck and get it warm and make a diagram of the positions and then install the new one and warm the truck back up and repeat the steps for the needles in reverse
