I feel the same way, but instead of upgrading new stuff it's always having repairs on my trucks and equipment!

Backup camera
Purchased a wireless back up camera from Napa auto parts. Thanks to the forum had no problem installing.
I have a 2014 F150. I noticed that there are several methods of installation. After reading several posts i came across a very easy method.
Remove the entire drivers side rear tail lights assembly, and patched directly into the reverse light wiring. Luckily there were only 2 wires. 1black and a striped wire. 50/50 chance. Matched the black wires figuring it was the negative wire. Bingo it worked. Just paying it forward.

I have this one. Reputable company, good picture quality, no condensation issues, 3 years going strong, very discrete and came with plenty of wire. It is also bendable, so you can point it down at your hitch if you wanted.

Also, instead of wiring the power wire to the reverse light, you can run a wire back up to the head unit, either blue/white or red wire for constant power while the truck is on. This will allow you to view the camera while towing/driving instead of just while reversing.
