Default back lighting

well...by accident really, i discovered that the back light for the intruments is easy to change, and blue is a great looking color imo, and i am doing a little more research but i think i am going to change my instruments over to a blue, which will also fix the odometer back light issue i have where i have no light anymore

its not a led illumination, its just a bulb. going to check it out this weekend and see what we got

Don't you think it would look a little out of place with all the other green lights?

I've looked before and it seems to be a major hassle to get all of the dash and gauge lights blue.

I agree that its going to be a pain in the *** to swap all the little green bulbs out but I figure if I am going to remove the cluster for that one light I might as well swap and be a little different right? I am going to see how easy it is to change the AC lights because if you can't change those then its pointless to do the whole swap and have half green and half blue. Plus blue matches the livewire well. Lucky are you talking bout that ricer craptaskic neons? If it was a 89 civic coupe then maybe as that's a ricer whip but never on my truck when I own it

I am curious, is the color of the dash back lighting determined by the bulbs or the plastic they shine through. I have green illumination on my 95 and I would like to change it to blue to match my head unit. Not a big thing either way.

I've seen threads on another forum that a guy put hours into the window switches alone. I think it's a GREAT look, but not worth the work.

im a stx so i didnt have locks/window switches or anything else illuminated except for dash, ac unit and the cruise buttons, now i havent figured out how to do the ac unit or cruise but the cruse shouldnt be to hard

anyways if i cant change them all over i wont do it, ill just replace the burnt bulbs...shouldnt be to bad right...haha

and yea on these year trucks its a bulb with a green film that you either chemically remove or mechanically remove...(acetone vs sandpaper)
