Question AVIC-F700BT air bag light on

I recently had the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT installed on my 06' F150, and in order to fit it in the dash panel the passenger air bag light had to be removed, just unhooked the cable and unscrewed it. But now the air bag light on my cluster panel is on all the time. Is that because the other light is disconnected? How can I bypass that? I searched and didn't find any replies to this type of problem, which is sortof suprising because I know that several people have posted saying they have the same unit. Thanks for any ideas or info!

I had it done at the car stereo place in town. I called him after I posted this and he said he forgot to put the light back in, but there is no space to put it back in with the new unit installed, it takes up the entire cavity.

he must have done something wrong, the space with the airbag light is a solid double din, your unit is a solid double din....where did you have it installed at?

At the local car stereo place, not a chain. But the AVIC-F700BT takes up the entire space with the light bar removed, maybe it's just a little bigger than the double din? There's no gap the way it's in there now...

Ok, I brought it back there yesterday and he fixed the problem of the light not being there, it's there now, and I watched him plug it in, but it's not coming on during the lights test upon starting the truck and the airbag light on my cluster is still on...

Did you try to pull codes or erase the codes after he put the light back in.
A programmer would help with this

they definately put it in wrong. i just had my installed 4 days ago and everything is absolutely perfect, and the airbag light works fine. by the way make sure you locate the bluetooth microphone in a good spot because as long as you put it in a good spot, it works amazing.

well try disconnecting your battery for a minute to reset everything. that unit should only have taken up the space that the stock deck took up. you should still have your airbag off light there unless they installed wrong.
