Navagation antenna, excellent signal there, its supoosed to have a view of the sky.

I've should have guessed that. But since when on the subject though do you think the antenna for sirius/xm would work there as well? I had a friend that bought a 350Z and put his in the back of the car.

I have seen most of them mounted right at the top edge of the windshield. I also had a buddy that just tossed it on the hood of his jeep, and it worked fine.

I use the stock Sirius antenna but I've heard of success placing it under the storage tray on the dash. That's where my navigation antenna is and it picks up great.

My sirius antenna is located slightly to the left of where his antenna is. It works just fine. My advice is to place it as close to the windshield as possible, so it will have the most exposure to the sky. Just dont put it all the way under the wipers.
