Auxiliary battery installed
I needed to install a JLT ram air intake. this gave me the room to install my battery under the hood.
1. JLT Ram Air
2. Optima yellow top battery
3. Battery Tray
4. Solenoid - Isolator
5. Junction block (Ford Factory)
6. Hardware--- #4, #10, #14 wire, Wire terminals, wire insulator or wire wrap,
various nut and bolts, Positive and negative battery cable

What does this extra battery do?
have you ever gone to the beach, camping or parting with friends and listened to your killer sound system. then your battery is low and won't start your truck?
I move all my installed add-ons to the spare battery.
I hooked up various devices that can kill my starting battery
Kenwood 9140 Nav/dvd/Blue tooth
Kc running lights
Cobra cb radio
Via AIr onboard air system
this allows the freedom to run stuff with less worry

Nice setup Larry.
Anthony, you could do this setup with a battery box in the corner of your bed as an alternate to the intake setup. There are several ways to wire in dual batteries which can give you different benefits, too.

Thanks Gator
whenever I see the aux batteries on other F150's they are in the bed. I just didn't want to add stuff in the bed. I use the bed.
I didn't lose any power from the K&N I had ... going to the JLT. I also ordered a sock for my filter from Fabtech.
the sock will help when I am offroad in the desert.

I was wondering if you noticed any difference with the JLT, good to hear you didn't. Sock's probably a good idea, I think you'd have to clean the filter constantly without one in the dusty desert.
