Default Aux Audio input on top of dash - who has moved it?

I want to relocate it down low in the front panel, by the 12V outlet/lighter/ash tray/cupholder/all that crap down there.

Who has moved it and what's involved?

I think that thread had more to do with owners who do not have the jack?

I just want to move it.

How easy is it to remove the bezel and top tray?

It comes off pretty easily but you'll be left with a hole in the tray.

> $10 Alternate Solution: Get you one of these Aux Jacks from Ebay and a Y-adapter (pictured below).

Cut the RCA jacks off on the Y-Adapter and splice into the factory aux input connector. Should be 4 wires, R+, R-, L+, L-

No problem on the hole, plastic plugs are available. I am more curious on the connection into the radio itself, as is it a 1/8" jack in the radio, or part of the harness?

I do not like to put things on top of the dash, so want to be able to connect I-phone / Sirius / Audio in at a lower point that also looks neater.

Is there a good video or page that shows how to pull off all the covers for the dash center?

Also will need to remove the storage bin/recess panel on the bottom of the dash below the ash/beverage tray. I have no console.

Does that simply pop out too?
