Default Auto Headlight timer

I searched for the answer to this question and couldn't find an answer that actually worked with my truck. So I'm going to ask, on my 2008 XLT the auto headlights stay on for approximately 3 minutes after the truck is shut off, I'm sure this is something that can be changed but I have absolutely no idea on how to go about changing the setting. Only steering wheel controls I have are the cruise control buttons and they don't do anything.

They vary with the dimmer. Set the dimmer to as low as it goes, lights should not stay on as long.

I just converted to the Lariat cluster, so much easier to adjust- just select the menu from the info display.

Sooooo much can be learned by reading the owners manual. If you don't have one, Google for it. Many sites have a free PDF you can download. Then keep it in the "library" for good reading material.
