Ashtray wont stay closed

Is there a simple fix for the ashtray popping open over the slightest bumps? What keeps the thing closed? I can't figure out how this thing works for the life of me.

Haha, this drove me nuts when I got my truck! My solution was to take out the ash tray. The door stays shut and doesn't rattle as much. It's annoying to keep the ash tray in the console, but it is what it is.
