Default Ashtray removal?

Funny deal here....Dropped a necklace, dont ask how, behind the tilt out ashtray. I took out the cup but I cant figure out how to take out the whole thing. Need to get behind it.

Has anybody removed one?

There are no 'nuts' visible anywhere.

Get a small flathead screwdriver and carefully work your way around the woodgrain face where your stereo and a/c are at. You must pry it out slowly use a piece of cardboard to pad the screwdriver so it dosen't scratch your interior, it just snaps in. The cover has your seatbelt and cigarette lighter wires attached so don't break the wires just un plug them. After removing the cover you will see the screws that hold your ashtray in place remove them and there u are. The a/c and stereo cover is pretty tight so it will take a little work. If you are tired of your ashtray rattling cut a couple pieces of 1/4 vacume hose about 1/8" long (like a little doghnut) and slip them on the two prongs where the ashtray locks in and that will stop the rattleing too. Good luck!!

Wood grain? Not sure what you are talking about.....

CUP HOLDERS? Where oh where did you get that? ASHTRAY LOL!

I have looked, pulled, pried and to hold back from breaking the thing off, I don't know what to do. I cant see ANY screws, ANY bolts, ANY snaps or anything else other than the tilt off trey, I don't know what to do. Dino mite? In my eyes, its not as simple as you are making it sound? Maybe i'm missing something.....
