Default Armor All Trim and Plastic Restorer

Tried a new product on the bed rail of my 05 F150 and within a week turned my plastics almost white, and yes I followed the directions. Anybody else have this same problem? I contacted Armor All and they recommended using rubbing alcohol to remove it.
I took several pictures
The first is of their mess
#2 of the bed rail with it and the tailgate without it (tailgate wasn't to bad so I never put it on)
#3 the removal
#4 all gone
#5 Mothers Back to Black

I've used the Back to Black product before and it seems to work well to clean them up. I have found that it streaks down the body sometimes even if you just put a little on.

Now its just Krylon Fusion black paint for me. Way better for the long term.

I thought the Back to Black worked pretty well, but like you said it can get streaky when dried. You really have to buff it good to get the streaks out

Back to black never worked for me. I used SEM Trim Paint on all my plastics and after a year in the AZ sun they still look brand new.

Sounds funny but I just use Mequires "Glossy" interior shine and it always seems to do the trick. Never have tried the back to black but I'm assuming it would handle the elements a little better than my interior cleaner lol

I don't think I explained what happened properly.
The white was what my trim looked like after using Armor All's new Outlast Trim Restorer
The pictures are of the removal of Armor All and the reapplication of Back to Black

Does the Krylon Fusion chip easily?

I can't speak for the Krylon Fusion but the SEM Trim Paint has gone through a lot of torture on my bed rails, bumper, and my grille. I set stuff on my bed rails all the time, step on my bumpers multiple times a day, and bugs pelt the grille. No chips after a year. The only thing I don't like is it will tend to water spot after I wash it. I just have to dry it off before the sun can and I'm in good shape. Application was easy as it goes on so light. Hard to mess up by causing it to run.

Do not use paint on your textured plastic...there's a million reasons why.

Try this,it's alittle pricey but you will love it.

Checked out their website and I am going to give it a try. Do you happen to know which part number you used?
