Default Anyone want to help me pick tires?

Ok So I am putting the Rancho Quick lift 2.5" with the 9000 rears on my truck next weekend. 130k miles and the shocks are toast (original shocks/struts).

So I am looking for some help, I am thinking 33/12.5/17 on the stock kinda ugly 17in rims. Its an '04 XLT.

I want the tires to stick out of the wheel wells a little bit maybe an inch or two but I have to drive this thing to work also. Trust me I wish I only had to drive it to go fishing and cut firewood and get to my tree stand.

So I have a budget of about $1000 give or take a little.

I was looking at the Cooper STT's and the A/T3's I think the A/T3's would be better on the highway but those STT's are sick looking and its really only about 100-200 more for the set of STT's because I am getting E rated.

Ok so please help ... I need to get the RIGHT tires for this truck!

Here is how it sits now. With really sad grocery getter 235/75/17's on it

Don't forget to consider the tried and true BFG All Terrains. Good performers with long treadwear.

they don't have any side tread action really though do they?

what do you think about that size LT315/70R17. basically a 35" tire with 12.5 inch width, will that stick out of the wheel wells a little?

Search the forum for some pics. That is the stock tire and size on the Raptor, FYI.

I have 315/70r17's and they stick out about 1-2 inches. Mine aren't on stock wheels though.
