Yeah one of my buddies has a shop at their house so were going to do it as far as mileage with the 4.88s I'm not sure I guess ill see but I know a lot of people say after they get 4.56s they regret not going bigger so I'm gonna opt for the 4.88s

If you only have 35s I recommend the 4.56 unless you don't do hardly any highway driving or off road all the time. The 4.56 are almost lower than I would like with my 315/70/17 tires. Lots of power though

I don't do hardly any highway driving I drive about 10 miles a day to my bosses house where he has a company truck so I don't drive much and I would hate to be disappointed after I spent the money and did all the work!

And hopefully you have a programmer to sync the gear change with the transmission. You will have loads of low end power and be ready for 37s should you ever decide you want them.

bringing back this thread... thinking of same USA Standard and not a Master Kit.

I dont know much about gears or what all is needed to regear but cost is a major factor for me. i run 37's in a 5.4 2005. currently 3:73 or 3:55 gears and hating life! i DO have a programmer and made a little difference but nothing like gears will.

my question is, what would i have to get that would help save cost in not going with the rebuild kit? thinking of going with 4:56's for my 37's in hopes that when i have to get new tires, i will go with 35's. but that wont be for a couple years.. should i just go with the 4:88's?

i drive 10 miles to work every day and back on a 65mph road and tow a lawn trailer once a week for 3 hours. help me out guys..

Being you have 37's and only drive 10 miles a day and you tow pretty normally I would get 4.88s! And my USA gears I put in cost me right at 250$ for both ring and pinions which is a Awsome price for gears I got the price from Wayne at diffsonly he will hook you up!

This should help yall. Keep in mind the rpm is for one to one witch would be third gear or simply with od off. Usa stadards are great they just wine a little more. But with most mud tires you wont notice. Yellow is for mpg, green is closer to stock, and blue is offroading preformance

I'm averaging about 12-13mpg currently. Any thoughts on 4:88's?

This is awesome! Thanks! Anything like this for mph and rpm together or at least something to show me mpg?
