Default Anyone running usa standard gears?

I was thinking about trying these I've read that Yukon makes them. For 4.56s I can get the front and back ring and pinion for 265$ or Yukon front and back for 350$ not too much difference but would like to save money. Anyone have experience with the USAs?

I'm wondering the same thing, and where'd you find the Standard package deal?

I emailed Wayne from diffsonly.com and he gave those prices and also prices on the master install kits but I'm not going for those.

I'm not sure how true the part about being made by Yukon is I had jut read that online and I was wanting to try and confirm it with someone on here!

"Yukon makes some of the USA Standard gears, but not all. Basically put. If Yukon buys or makes a gear and it doesn’t match their high quality control, they are labeled as a USA Standard gear. It could be a OEM Ford gear or Yukon. So the strength is there, they just might setup noisy."

This is what Wayne just told me about the USA gears so I think I'm gonna try them out!

Well...if I were doing gears and spending all that money ...I would go $85 more and get Yukon gears...do it right the first time for $85 more...Just my opinion

Why are you not buying the master install kits? How much did he quote you for them? Wanting to do gears, just a lot of money to invest.

I think I've done changed my mind and I'm gonna go with 4.88s but for the front and rear yukons were about 350. And my truck only has about 60k miles on it so I'm gonna just do it without it and just may have to get a few new parts instead of the 200 dollar install kit

I didn't know that mileage had an effect. I only have 48k miles...Sounds like you are doing it yourself though and not taking it to a shop.

Any idea on fuel mileage with 4.88s?
