Anyone installed the Monroe Sensa-Track shocks?
Hey guys. Has anyone installed the Monroe Sensa-Track load leveling shocks on their 04-08 F150? The part number is 58642
My current shocks look really old and have been leaking, so i need to replace them. I tow a good bit of weight and im interested in these if they would actually help with carrying capacity. They are $86 a pair on rockauto.com

I noticed it dont squat as bad but there is some but not nearly as bad as the oem. They are pretty smooth loaded/unloaded. A lot better than the oem that was in there. Although they had 171k on them. But I really like them and no they are not adjustable.

Yes Sir.. Is that shocking to you? They are rated 11000 lbs. No problems and have 171xxx on it and still original trans. Run about 30,000 a year on it. I mostly pull in the summer as I do landscaping and am always pulling 3 pallets of block or 3 yards of dirt.

I guess im asking that your truck is rated for 11,000lbs towing capacity? What rear gears do you have? My 5.4 with 3.55 gears is rated at 8500lbs max. the 3.73's make it 9500 max. 9500 is the max tow rating regardless of drive train configuration according to Ford. Towing capacity didn't significantly increase until the 09 model refit.
I'm not by any means attacking you. I'm simply curious about your claimed tow rating. My truck has 290k on it and ive had no issues pulling 7000lbs. I wouldn't even consider approaching the 8500lb limit with my current gears without swapping to 3.73s, but then my max would still only be 9500. I'm not a fan of grossly overloading a truck. Too many deaths have resulted from doing that.
Again, You do what you need to do. Its all cool.
