Without a doubt the most badass looking XL reg cans I've ever seen... Actually probably one of the most badass trucks I've ever seen period..

I had installed a windshield visor on my okd 91 f150 that had clearance lights. I tapped into the parking lights.

^This. It is your best bet. Simply run the wires down the A-Post and splice them into the parking lights.

Gonna do 3 "center" lights and the 2 outsides like most trucks. As far as measurements, Im not sure yet. Have to wait to get them then line them up and play with it. Any suggestions?

There is a guy here but i can never catch him... No suggestions for you... I'm thinking i need to create a template and lay it on the roof before drilling..

Does the inside roof panel need to come down completely?

I imagine it'd be easier if you can drop the headliner all the way. Not exactly sure how to tackle that yet. Gonna do it over the long weekend coming up
