Anyone get steering wheel shake from ebrake?
Got a 05 f150, been trying to nail down irritating vibration only at hwy speed. Had tires balanced twice, just had it in the shop they pulled driveshaft and u joints and checked the whole front end. Everything is tight. I pulled the rear wheels and rotors, ebrake is rusted, but seems to work. I'm going to pull it apart this weekend and clean it up just in case. If it is sticking, though would I get steering wheel shake from ebrake?

No it should not because that only affects the rear wheels. That would create shake in the rear wheels that you would feel in the seat and not in the steering wheel.
If it is in the steering wheel it is more certainly in the front wheels.
IS it there all the time? Certain speeds? Braking only?

Yeah that's what I was thinking should feel it in rear or whole truck. Tires are only a year old, does it pretty much all the time but only at 60-75, other than that it drives great. No shaking while braking, pads and rotors are new. I've had tires balanced multiple times and rotated and still does it. Might have to try road force balance next.

I would be looking at front end components at this point..
If you rotated tires and there was no change then that all but rules out the tires/wheels.
Potentially a front wheel bearing, failing IWE or a loose tie rod as well. Depending on your level of mechanical ability you may want to take it into a front end shop, especially one that offers free inspections/estimates. if they claim that they found it, ask them to actually show you the problem.

You would be surprised what new components will do for you. You know I just did my complete front end. I felt no play in my ball joints on the truck, but when dismantled they were all extremely floppy, and two of them had a very slight amount of play. Also all the bushings in the control arms were weak. The old ones could be wobbled by a large screwdriver. The new ones are TIGHT. I actually feel more 'feedback' from the road now, but my shake is completely gone.

Yeah I'm thinking I'm gonna have to do the front end. It has to be in the front to give me the vibration. I'm still gonna clean the ebrake up just to try it but doubt it will help.
