Default Anyone ever had a PO605 code?

Anyone ever run into this code before. All I can get is that it is a random ECM error. Not sure what that means or even what the fix would be. Someone told me it may need to be reflashed by Ford. When I clear the code it comes right back. Any feed back would be great. Thanks.

No chip or no computer type mods at all. As far as I know no one has ever played with the computer. Truck is a 2006 with 34000 miles. Can't imagine it would need a new PCM. But I guess you never know.

bleufox99. I see it says your a Ford Tech on your profile. In your opinion should I bring it to the dealer to get it re-flashed? Or is there something else I can try first. Not sure if I would possibly even benefit from having it re-flashed and getting the most up to date programming for my truck.

See if you can find more information on your code reader. write down what you find out. Make accurate records for further use later. Erase your codes. Disconnect your battery for a time and reconnect it. Start your vehicle and run it several hours driving it for systems to turn back on the Eco sensors. If everything is ok you can read it again if you wish. If it's not you have a memory read problem with the trans module. It could be a bad connection. Try them. At this point if you slill have the code see a ford tech. Show him your records. Atempts to flash this problem were only temp sucessful and a new module was needed to permanently fix the problem/ it lost its mind. 2 times it was in the wire harness/crimped. 1 time the fuse box was damaged. ECU kept trying to reset.

The code is an error in the PCM's ROM (read only memory), disconnecting the battery will only reset the PCM's KAM (keep alive memory), no code clearing or resetting can correct an error in the ROM, the only way to fix it is to go to the dealer and have it reflashed. If it happens again after that you will need to replace the PCM
