Was it just a matter of tightening up the manifold or did you have to replace gasket?

A common cause is a stud breaking. I heard the manifolds warp ever so slightly and when they warp they snap a stud, so no tightening was possible.

I got a new gasket, manifold, and studs. The one stud that broke was sticking out of the block a lil so he was able to extract it somewhat easily, still a pain in the ***** he said(mechanic) I can say now I like putting my pass side window down... It used to soo loud and annoying
