Default Anybody ever changed a antenna?

Not the top part but the bottom. The carwash brokre me antenna off and the stud is in it still so it looks like I will have to replace the entire thing. Anybody ever had to do this before?

You might be able to drill it out... Sometimes by drilling it, then putting the drill in reverse, you may get it out....

You only have to remove the trim/cover piece and remove the bolts that are holding it down. Hopefully you will be able to remove the cable at this point. If not it will be a bit more work, which would involve having to run a new cable all the way back to the radio.

I think this person is correct. A car wash loosened mine not to long ago, and I removed the plastic trim piece, and there was 2 bolts that I tightened up and problem solved. Maybe if you remove those 2 bolts, It will come loose. And the cable should be threaded on the bottom.

On my truck I had to replace the whole mounting assembly with the wire. Just bought a new one from Ford. It looks more intimidating than it really is.

So where does the cable attach? Do I have to take the radio out or is it simply under the hood somewhere?

there is a tool specifically for situations like this its called a stud remover u drill small hole in the broken off piece and insert the tool then turn it out with a wrench they're cheap and seem to work ok
