My really literally melted. When I opened the box water came out. When I busted the box open to wire in a new relay to get it out of 4 two of the wires were touching. My box was ruined. Ford said I had to buy the wiring harness for the whole truck to get it. Found one in a scrap yard and wired it in.

I just checked mine again and it seems fine, it was working and now nothing, WTH ? Why and how could it go into 4low

Sounds like somehow power got to the transfer case motor. Just have to figure out how.

Could the solenoid cause the interior 4x4 lights not to come on if it's bad ?
