Default Any thoughts on fixing rust on the bed of my truck??

I have some rust underneath the tailgate that I'm not sure how to get to or how to fix it. Any ideas on how to stop it/cover it with something?? It's about 5 or 6 inches long

Taking off the bumper should give you acess to that area. Can't see how bad it is to give advice on repairs

As stated, take off the tailgate, sand the area and prime then colormatch with duplicolor. Shouldnt have to be to perfect since its hard to see.

I too have a step side, trying to fix bed rust. So to get the sides off take the bolts out at the front of the bed and what next, obviously taillight and then bed rails? Plus are the fiberglass sides heavy?

It's light you have to pull the steps off and there is two under each then behind the bumper the bracket at the rear bumper is kinda of a pain if you pull the bumper off it would be a pice of cake
