Default Any one in here do a fummings?

Im getting sick of my gas motor and just bought a long block 5.9L cumming. I have 24Vavle heads in my shop from a motor that blew the crank. I need to find a trany (preferably a 6 speed) and will be swapping out all the axles on my 04' FX4 for Dana 60s with 4Link airbags. Love my F150, just hate the drive line/suspension. I also will be adding the Atlas 2 Transfer case Rather than poke the sticks threw the floor I will be adding in pneumatic cylinders and wiring a the controls threw the existing 4x4 switch. the motor will be pretty much stock, no need to go crazy with a truck that ways a lot less than a F250-350. Maybe just a light bullydog program

Any one else do this? would love to know what problems you ran into. I won't be doing my swap until I pick up my 15 F150 later this year.

So you're putting a Cummings in an '04 F150? Make a build thread so I can subscribe. I'd love to see this

Seen one on kijiji ontario canada not too long ago the guy had ditched the f150 frame and stuffed our body on a 98 dodge frame with the cummins was pretty neat. I'll see if it's still up.

I would love to do a 4bt with an m5r2 on my truck

I looked at doing a 4bt conversion, but they are super slow. in small off road applications, the 4bt is awesome. but to get enough power to make it street able you cut its life way down. A lot of the 4bt conversion are only lasting a year before they go poof! off road, and bone stock they last forever!

I know I've seen one somewhere on this site before but I really don't remember anything about it...

Lots of talk about it... But then the threads go silent. It's all of our dream to have a cummings powered F-150 but it doesn't seem to happen. I've never seen it on here other than talks, but nobody actually doing it.

Cummins, guys. Cummins. Lol. No G
It would be interesting to see the 4bt in one..I would think it would have the power to move the truck right along pretty decently lots of torque there...with the amount of bread trucks that had repowers I'm sure the f150 weight is nothing in comparison. Could always turn the wick up

It'd be a Cummings if someone ever did it, I'd need a towel

Glad to know I wasn't the only one that imagined my f150 blowing by a other truck rolling a little coal.
