Default Any Experience with Aftermarket Tow Mirrors?

I have a 2004 Lariat and I've thought about getting tow mirrors for it. After looking around online, mostly on eBay, I've found several. Of course the OEM ones on there are double the price of aftermarket, but does anyone here have any experience using an aftermarket set? I know the tow mirrors didn't come around until 07 so I may have to move some pins around for the power/heated/signal/puddle etc. I believe the saying you get what you pay for, but just looking to see if anyone has any feedback for aftermarket.

Thanks!

I would love to know too. I have a set of those pop on extension mirrors and they suck. I'd like to get a set of the extendable mirrors that are like OEM but cost less too!

I bought the $250 ones from am-autoparts from ebay. They work absolutely fine on my 2004 the only complaint is that my passenger side main mirror shakes a good amount but its not that bad, oh and they dont have the "objects in mirror may be closer than they appear" but who cares.
https://www.f150forum.com/f4/additions-my-fx4-213968/ in my thread i explain how to wire the different pins. Let me know if you have other questions. P.S. i wasnt gonna spend freakin 600$ on mirrors either!

I got mine from a vendor on this site. Best price I could find and so far no complaints other then the defrost seems a little slower then factory, but still works. They were a little more then the ones mentioned in the post above but no rewiring (plug and play and everything worked, but I had all that on my factory mirrors) and no shake.

1A Auto

Worth checking into. I can't wait to tow my TT this summer with real towing mirrors. I will be nice to see all the way down the side

EDIT

That link is not for full dressed mirrors, sorry. However contact Tony via PM or email and give him your truck details and what you want and he can direct you to the correct mirrors and price.

i was curious on the after market ones too. they have a set at carid.com for 84$ each... it says manual without puddle lights and i don't know if that means manual as in the folding and telescoping or manual as in the power adjustment won't work. I can't find any specific reviews on them other than one for a 2007 f150 on carid but it just says they look great(I'm assuming that's because the brand name is "replace" so when you google "replace tow mirrors f150" you get results like this thread)

the ones on 1aauto don't have the turn signals, the puddle lights, and are non-heated. the ones here look to be oem replacements https://www.crashandsmash.com/spare-...rrors-set.html

The ones I got are from 1aauto and they are heated, with turn signals, power, and puddle lamps. I'm in crapistan right now so I can't exactly mount them until I get back but all the reviews on them are stellar.

I'll back up the good reviews. I put a set on my truck after my passenger side mirror was torn off. They have great build quality and could easily be mistaken for OEM. I know some people say they have vibration issues but I never run into that. These mirrors can't be beat .

If you want to PM me with the features that you currently have I can match a set up for you. We carry both the pre 08 round tow mirrors AND the 08+ square tow mirrors that will bolt right up to your 2007, they're made for the earlier models. They'll plug right in too, they have the correct adapters on them.

I bought a set from CrashandSmash. Great quality, great price, and they very well could be made by the OEM that makes them for Ford. Perfect fit.

That's exactly what I'm saying too! No way I'm paying that much for a set! Glad to hear some good feedback though, thanks for the response
