Default antenna adapter

I needed to replace my radio, with aux input, 6 disc and sat, unfortunately I bought one from a '06 and the antenna hookup is different from my '08. Does anyone know the part number for the antenna adapter?

Get pictures of both of the female ands and I'll try and find an adapter from one to the other. There doesn't need to be a Ford-specific part, just a this to that adapter.

I have it backwards. The normal hookup is a motorola standard. Apparently the stock in our truck is called snap lock antenna adaptor. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040CR...r.html?tp=2569 This is the one that I have from crutchfield.

For some reason, Ford switched the antenna end for late 2006 and up. Any stereo install shop in your area will have these 5 inch type adaptors for you to purchase, or even your local Wallymart. Looks like this:

I took a shot at it and neither one I bought worked, the male end goes into the radio fine but the adapter for the truck end isn't working, here's a pic of what is on the truck.

Print this picture of the connector you have, and show it to a local radio shop in your area. They will provide you with what you need.

This ^^. Or take the vehicle into the radio shop with the stereo out so they can look at the real thing.
