Hey guys... My truck has been throwing a P0012 code and had a bit of a lag with acceleration. It has rattle when first started and when I slightly give it gas at a stop light or when just in idle at times. The truck also has a rough idle and a SLIGHT misfire on banks 1-4. I had it opened up and practically told that the whole timing system would need to be redone and it would run me $1600. The spark plugs were replaced with motocraft plugs 10k ago.

Here's the catch. I need to sell this truck, the value on it in very good condition is $10800. It's an 05 f150 with 206k on it. The engine was "replaced" and only has 86k on it. I need to sell this and I think the CEL will scare anyone off. I posted an add on craigslist for the labor to replace the timing system and I had a mechanic that owns a shop call me with a quote of $650 and another guy that deals with this.. non warrantied.. for $350. He says he does it all the time and we chatted a bit. With parts I'm looking at around $850 max.

So what I'm asking (Yes I finally got to it). Would it be worth fixing for the price, and if so which kit would you recommend to purchase? The complete kit I assume.
