Default Another driveline problem. Transmission rear seal leaking?

So, I lost my transmission cooling lines and radiator due to the radiator being bad, and the connection to the transmission cooling lines not fitting correctly.

While it was at the shop, they did a TSB on the drive shaft clunk, and did the rear brakes.

Total cost: $1400.00

1,000 miles later, I start getting a whirring noise from under the cab of the truck. Turns out it's the carrier bearing on the driveshaft. That driveshaft, the bearing isn't serviceable. So I have to get a new driveshaft.

I got a quote from a local driveline shop for $350. Ford wanted $1400 for a new one.

The problem I'm wondering about is, when I pulled the drive shaft out from the rear of the transmission, about a 1/4 quart of transmission fluid came out.

That normal? Doesn't seem normal.

Yes, they are building a whole new driveshaft with a serviceable carrier bearing. For the great price of $375.

Best deal I've seen yet, and they're local to me. I'll get it back early next week.
