cheap or not, i am not gonna be talked to like i'm some dumbsh*t on the phone. so i am fixing the future-father-in-laws's truck, i don't have the truck with me, i know the make, model, motor, usually that is enough. so i call there and retard #1 on the phone asks for the VIN, i'm like i don't have it, i just need to order the 4x4 hub actuator and the cv axle nut, he goes on to ramble about how they can't be sure to send me the right parts without the VIN, i proceed on to say there is only 1 actuator possibility for the new body style, so just send me 1 of those and the damn nut, then retard #1 tells me there are 3 different actuators possible (1 for the regular cab, 1 for the supercab, 1 for the supercrew) , i'm like BS there is only 1, the are all the same, he goes on again, so i am pissed like a banshee, so i ask him if there is something there who knows anything, he gives me retard #2 on the phone, and he tells me how they need the vin, at this point i could have burst into flames i was so pissed, i was like don't you people know how to use the computer or what? he pretty much told me to get the VIN and he hung up the phone, so i drove to the father in laws and got the vin, 22 miles round trip talk to retard #2 on the phone again, how lucky am i, give him the vin and verify the part numbers with mine and i get them in the mail and guess WHAT! they send me the wrong damn axle nut, i was furious, so i get to order the nut from the local dealer, i will never buy anything from tasca again, cheaper or not.

what your looking for is under instrument panel, center bezel, they don't show pics so i would call to make sure, but better have a VIN so the retard brigade can send the right one!

Atom's description of his parts ordering over the phone (or internet) only confirms what I already knew; whenever I attempt to order via a phone (or internet), and the person insists they need additional info that I believe they don't, I take the part with me to the local dealer.

If it ends up costing me a few bucks more, it's worth it, as I won't end up with the hassle of arranging shipping back to the dealer (Atom did not state if he was successful with that or a refund), plus the additional down time I'll have waiting on the part if the vehicle is not running.

If it's a part that both me and the parts person agree that there is only "one part fits all", then I'll most likely chance it, provided the savings are worth it.

Yea i never had such problems ordering over the telephone before, ever and i bought enough stuff over the days from places. i didn't even waste my time returning a $6 nut, not even worth the hassle. but at the end of the day, i know who won't be getting my business anymore.

read my post, because people usually buy stuff from the cheapest place, they would find it online regardless, if i didn't give them the name, someone else would.
