Default Alternator Problem

I got a 2007 f150 with 26,XXX miles, recently I turned my truck on from a cold start and it hesitated quite a bit before it completely turned on. The gauges (rpm, speedometer, fuel, battery, etc...) weren't responding to the truck turning on either, maybe 5 seconds passed by and then they went back to normal. I noticed my odometer mileage from trip A to B disappeared as well. Could it be my alternator? I noticed this happening after I switched my tunes from 93 performance octane to 87 performance octane.

One day wouldn't start jumped it pulled it in the shop ( winter time) pulled the battery ( original battery this was in 2012 or 2013) it looked like it was about to explode. Had a bubble in the side of it. Replace it with a good 800+ CCA battery you'll be glad you did
