I have mine screwed to the back of the rear seat in my Fusion, so it is actually in the trunk. Two weeks ago, it overheated on me. Never thought it would happen in the winter. Of course, I had it cranked for about 45 minutes. Lesson is, no matter where it is it can overheat.

the trunk of a car can get really hot, i would open the rear seat hatch to the truck
