Default For all you guys with a sound system

So im havin a little problem with my sound system. I put 1 12" woofer under the back seat and then I put the amp behind the back seat. The problem is that with the heat rising down here the amp is starting to go into protection mode because of the heat. I had cut the insulation out whenever i put it in to help prevent this but apparently it isnt helpin much. Where do yall have your amps?

A friend of mine had a similar problem and he installed a couple cheap computer fans to circulate the air around his amp. It was in an old Nissan pickup single cab. It seemed to fix the problem.

I put my Alpine amp under the passenger front seat and cut a little hole in the carpet to run the wires, never have had a problem with heat

I did that in my 2000 F150 Extended cab and I might do that again, I was just wanting to see what everyone else does

Ya it's a good place, you can't see the amp or a single wire in my truck

I've also heard of the computer fans as well. Easy to wire considering almost all pc fans run on 12 dc. Although if your not too worried about spending alittle dough you can go for a class d amplifier. Much more effecient and create very little heat.
