Default Hids

I just installed 10k head lights in my truck and I can't complain. All new wiring harness ran with a relay for the use of brights. Only question I have is should I remove the little chrome deflector car in side the head light housing? I thought maybe it would make the lights a litter brighter and figured the deflector was made for use with halogen bulbs. Only reason for thinking this is my room mate has a "99 TA we installed the same kit on and his lights seem twice as bright

well I also bought a pair of 194 LED bulbs and a universal 20 LED panel to put in my center dome light. what an improvement that makes.

Yes I know the cone is for reflecting light but it was designed for halogen lights. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it.
