Default All gauge clusters the same??

I had to replace a cluster with one i bought off Ebay and now it doesn't have the outside temp or the compass heading. I looked through old post and only found info on the overhead temp and compass but i'm talking about the temp/heading in my display ON my cluster. Anyone know more info about this?

Did you have it reflash end before you installed it?

What trim is your truck? What did it come out of?

The only two clusters that I can think of that would have a different typeface would be the XL and lariat clusters. The XL would only have the odometer and trip odometer, while the lariat cluster would be so different there is no way you would miss it. So I think you have to have picked up an XL cluster.

Texasedition,
What do you mean reflash?
I just changed the cluster on 2006 Fx4. Just plugged and play. Worked for 2 weeks. Then one day it turned over but won't start. Disconnected battery for 20 minutes, reconnect and started right up. Next morning, no start. I don't want to do that every time. Is there a step I need to do? Reflash?
Thanks for any help.

Your local dealer has to do the re-flash. Its also against the law to misrepresent the mileage if you ever sell the truck and do not disclose the odometer discrepancy.....

Its unlikely that it is the cluster causing the no start. You might want to check the FPDM.
