Default Airbag light flashing

So my airbag light has been flashing for the longest time. Was told it was a bad front crash sensor. Well I replaced it and the light still comes on. I've also taken my truck in already for the airbag recall. Any ideas o what it could be?

Did you check the pigtail on the connector for the front crash sensor?

How many times and what sequence is the flashing. I had it flash 5 times then flash 2 times. That was the front crash. I was told if it flashed 4 times then 2 times it was the sensor in the seat. I have also been told that every so often the senors have to be recalibrate. I don't know per say if that is true but I paid my dealer $75 to do it. Only way to get rid of the light in my situation.

Maybe it was the other way around. and 4 2 was the crash sensor. I can't remember it has been over a year since I went through this. Sorry guys can't remember sh*t has set in. I think the seat sensor is in the bottom cushion since they say it figures your weight into how fast the airbag comes out.

The sensors are located below where the seatbelt buckles in. Looks like a piston that locks down the seatbelts in the event of a collision. It could be a number of things. I would have the system scanned to see what is popping up. Could be something as simple as the clockspring. When mine was flashing, I had a lot of stuff done to it, so I am unable to tell you exactly what fixed it.

No the only thing that was replaced for the recall was a wiring harness. The actual clockspring was not replaced. Since it was already at the ford dealership I went ahead and had them replace the clockspring. The part was only around 50 bucks if I can remember. Might be something you can tackle yourself if you are good at working around the steering wheel.
