Default Airbag light

I have a 2005 F150 Supercab 4x4 XLT. The airbag light stays on when the truck is turned on. The light doesnt blink at all so wondering what this means? Also was looking under the drivers seat and there seems to be a plug in thats not plugged in to anything, would this cause the problem? also if it isnt the problem what is it supposed to be connected to.

I have searched and couldnt find any answers

Thank You

are you reffering to the "air bag light" that is above the radio?

For me, when this light is on (above radio), my PC backpack is too heavy (as I always place it on the passenger seat)!

Check the fuse..............

Your owner's manual will help you locate the right fuse.

A friend of mine at work had the same problem with his 05. He pulled the codes and had to replace the sensor behind the grille, in front of the radiator, it was totally corroded. Once he replaced it ($50 ish) no more light on. From what I hear they relocated it on later years, behind the support in the front of the radiator, so it is a little less prone to face the elements.

it could be anything to do with to the air bag system. I worked on one truck it was caused by the passanger airbag light burnt out. you will have to get the codes read at a shop good luck
