You get what you pay for. If you like one over the other, then buy it. In a case like this, soliciting opinions of what others think does not make much sense, seeing as how you're the one paying for it.

Now if your asking for "first hand" opinions from folks that already have one or the other, that's a different point.

Installed the Airaid Jr. intake about 6 months ago along with a K&N filter in the stock air box. Purchase this intake for 2 main reasons, price and to eliminate the bulky look of the stock intake.

Have not had any problems or any sensors triggered while using this intake. Installed in 5-10 minutes.

However, have not noticed any drastic improvements on the performance side (despite what some might think). Basically cleans up the look under the hood.

Have it like, and happy it did not trip any sensors. My buddie installed the regular Airaid system and his service engine soon light came on as soon as he installed it, and hasnt turned off since.

I've installed a regular Airaid on my 2002 and the 2006 I drive. I've never seen one trip a CEL...

I've also installed the Brute Force CAI on a couple of buddies trucks, one was a 5.4 and the other a 4.6 and they've never reported CEL either.

installed on a couple of buddies scabs w/ 4.6l engines - they've had no problems but did say they didn't notice an incredible increase - a little throttle responce and bit more pep but other than that buisness as usual. if spending money i would save up a bit more and get a full CAI you can sometiems find them online, ebay for 2/3 the going price - just do research and shop around
