Default Air Horn Installation

Has anyone install an air horn on the '04-'08 f150 or similar?

I am looking at (2) options.

1. Direct drive air horn
2. Air horn, compressor and air tank

Any advise, mounting locations, wiring options, models or brands and pictures would be great.

I installed a dixieland airhorn system on my truck. It came with six horns and the compressor, all of which i mounted under the hood on the plastics in front of the firewall.

Don't go direct drive if you want loud... I'm running two r-134a freon tanks at 125psi... Very loud!!! I live on a country road and my house is like 200yards off the road. I went 2 miles down and let her go and my dad and his friend who didn't know what I was doin said they thought a train was coming...
Here is a video of mine and you can see how I installed it...
Here is what I have https://www.f150forum.com/f6/got-my-train-horn-installed-18800/

In the first reply TY says they are high pitched... and they kinda are the video makes them sound higher than they actually are... But if you want lower more like a semi then you want a horn with two bells and longer... I'm gonna add one that is a lower pitch... But you may want one like the second one in this video

I have not been able to find power under the hood for the compressor. Do I need to run power all the way back to the fuse box or is there somewhere under the hood that will only supply power to the compressor when the ignition is turned on.

I used the same bracket for the OEM horns and mounted the compressor on a bolt that fastens the radiator bracket. Just have to finish the wiring. I got mine at Harbor Freight.
