For those that replaced their front sensor. Did you disconnect the battery first. Just wondering as I have the same problem and dont want my airbags to deploy. 2007 F150 Crew cab.

I had the 42 code. Got a new sensor, disconnected the negative battery cable, replaced the sensor and been all good ever since. Good luck, seems to be a common issue.

Default airbag code 42

turns out the mounting bolt is the GROUND connection,my wires were good,sensor was good.ran a wire from head of bolt to ground I found on fender next to battery.Problem Solved
