Aftermarket sub/amp anyway to use factory wiring?
Well I have a 2007 with the premium radio with the stock sub. Now I just picked up an aftermarket sub and amp and I was wondering if I could use the stock wiring and deck so I wouldn't have to buy the connector to go into the back of the stock deck has anyone ever done this or here of this? Thanks in advance for the help!

With any aftermarket amp you will need to run a power from the battery through the fire wall to the amp with a fuse no more than 8 to 12 inches from the battery terminal. 8ga will safely power up to a 1000 max watts. You will also need to run a remote to your fuse block that powers on and off with the key, and tap into one of your speaker wires and hook up a stepdown for your rca signal.

So basically I wouldn't be using the stock amp wiring at all then correct? And do you know if there's a video out there on how to do this or another post that's super dietailed with pictures becouses I would understand what you are trying to say a lot better! I knew I was going to have to run the power wire from the batt but I was hoping that I could somehow use the stock amp wires to hook up to the aftermarket amp so I wouldn't have to buy the adaptor and such!

You will have to get a inline RCA converter it taps into your speaker wires +and-.then your power wire and remote wire as stated before.then a ground wire.groung it as close to the amp as possible.very simple really.I suggest puting an inline fuse on the power ftom the battery.I mounted mine behind my back seat.

its a blue wire on aftermarket radios. You always connect it to the ignition switch. If not your aunt will stay on and drain the battery. As for your RCA, I don't know what you're talking about running them through the doors. The RCA's send the left and right audio signals from the stereo 2 the amplifier which in turn boost the signal and sends it to the speakers. If you don't have RCA jacks in the back of your stereo you will have to have a converter
