How did you get GPS in yours for that price? I found it at Crutchfield for $249, but it doesn't have GPS. It's listed as an additional feature (AVIC-U260 navigation module, $399). Are you displaying your smartphone GPS through the unit?

Update:
I ordered the Alpine 007 carplay unit yesterday. it was $496 delivered via eBay. Then I ordered the wiring adapter, install bracket, and steering wheel controls. One additional thing I ordered was the bypass which allows certain functionality without having to have the parking brake set. Down the road I'll add a back up camera which will either be in the tailgate handle or the tailgate emblem. I'll be back with details of the install when I do it.

The one in my truck, it is a pioneer, it has to sense an activated switch in order for the video to work. This can be accomplished one of two ways.... Wire in the "bypass" relay, or wire it to a switched ground. Similar to what you said but I had to have the switch.

No problem. I had a Jensen that was just a simple ground hookup. I tried that on a previous pioneer before doing research and it didn't seem to work right. I then looked it up and sure enough some require a "bypass". There are videos all over YouTube explaining how to do it.

Update, radio installed:
The stereo, mount brackets, and wiring harness arrived last weekend. Here's a list of parts.
1) ILX-007 Alpine Carplay unit. $496.90 delivered via eBay
2) Parking brake bypass. $10.99 delivered via eBay
3) Axxess-ASWC-1 steering wheel control $44.50 delivered via eBay
4) Metra Electronics 70-5520 Wiring Harness. $5.99 delivered via Amazon
5) Metra 95-5812 Double DIN Installation Kit. $8.87 delivered via Amazon
6) KiDiGi Case Compatible Sync & Charge Dock. $19.99 delivered via Amazon
First I spliced the harnesses together and that was very straight forward.
Then I installed the side brackets and faceplate adapter. That took some time to figure out. I had to cut the back half of the side brackets off.
Here's my original stereo. The wood grained surround panel pops off.
and then you have several connectors to remove
So then you have this
Next, you remove the four 9/32 screws that hold the double DIN unit in place. You're left with the satellite receiver which I just left in place.
Plug in the harness, wire in the bypass using only three of the four wires because this stereo has only the parking brake wire and not the additional foot brake wire.
Here's the final.
I still need to install the steering wheel controls. It's only three wires and a 3.5mm plug that goes into the back of the stereo. This steering wheel unit will auto detect the 2006 F150 so programming is supposed to be easy. When the dock arrives I'll finish everything up by installing the steering wheel control, the dock, and relocating the mic.
I've been using the stereo since about Sunday even though I am still waiting for some parts. I have to say I've very impressed. One thing I am having trouble with though is the Alpine Tuneit App. You download that to your iPhone and after registration use it to make several adjustments to the sound system. So far I haven't been able to get the App to register with Alpine. I called their tech service but he didn't help. Maybe I'll come back when I get this problem solved.

Update: I purchased a back up camera from Camera Source. They have two models that replace the rear emblem. I bought the better one that has 600 resolution compared to 420. Yesterday I installed the camera and the wiring up to the front. Today I will complete the wiring to the head unit. The camera kit was $289 - $30 Promo code F150forum. So it came to something like $270 delivered.

Final report: Yesterday I finished the rear emblem camera installation. The hard part was finding the correct wire to hook up so the camera will come on when the truck goes into reverse. The paperwork called out for a green/yellow wire that goes to a plug located in the front passenger right foot area above the fuse box. Problem is they provide no map of the plugs and they aren't numbered. After several minutes I found a likely wire and confirmed it with a test lamp by poking through the insulation. There should be a better way. Anyway, my camera is working and I'm happy.
The last loose end is getting Alpine to fix the "tuneit app" problem. I've called them 4 times now and will try again today.
