I love my current cam, but it is wireless and will not connect to my DVD HU. I'm probably not going to change anything any time soon. Just getting ideas.

One thing you will find with Crutchfield is often they will discount heavily, OR even throw in many of the installation items you need for free. (antenna adapters, pigtails to plug directly into factory harness, adapter harness etc..) and VERY detailed installation instructions for your specific vehicle and the items you are installing...

Also the toll free tech support for ANY issues with your installation can come in real handy if you run into any problems.. AND they have a satisfaction guarantee that you can return items for ANY reason within 60 days I think...

I had a Kenwood DNX691HD Nav radio installed in my 13 Mustang.. the following year I purchased the exact same kit for my 13 F150.. Almost identical setups, same adapters wiring etc.. and the Kenwood had changed to a newer model DNX692HD --- My thought was to put the newer one in the Mustang and swap the old one into the F150 -- since the wiring and harness were identical for both stereos -- ran into a problem when I installed the newer model in my mustang.. I could ONLY get sound when I was listening to the radio, not USB / SiriusXM / Disc or even Bluetooth.. I called them and they had an answer for me in about 30 seconds.. turned out the newer model Kenwood behaved slightly different than the old -- where I, as many people, will use the (usually) blue power antenna lead as a power signal for the turn on for all my amps.. on the 691 and any stereo I have ever had before -- there is power to this wire ANY time the unit it powered on.. however apparently the 692 would only power this wire when you were listening to the radio and would need a radio antenna.. so anytime I switched to any other audio source, the 692 would shut off all my amps... the tech new all of the information as I had used Crutchfield for both purchases and it took him just a few seconds to figure out this was the issue.. so I just had to do a simple wire switch and my problem was done.. There was nothing in the stereos manual or information that told me this output would behave this way so I was seriously confused about what to do.

Also they hold true to the satisfaction guarantee.. after about 3 weeks I decided I just didn't like the 692 because its screen icons, displays and behaviors were completely different than the 691.. I called them told them that.. that I just didn't like it compared to my 691-- they said no problem and let me return it for full credit.. and I ended up buying a refurbished 691 and had a little left over in store credit to put towards another purchase I had in mind..

Yep they are a tad more expensive, but they DO make up for it in the little "extras" that you get from them. I have had nothing but positive experiences in all of my dealings with them.

And on another note -- I just traded in that 13F150 on a 16F150 and the dealer wanted me to put back in the factory system.. which I didn't mind since I thought I could just swap all of it right out into my new XLT -- and of course they changed the 15/16 enough that I can use exactly NONE of that stereo equipment that is now sitting in my garage.. >< talk about being annoyed... I have the MaestroRR module for the Sync/Bluetooth/Steering Wheel controls/ODBII connection. / The adapter faceplate - Antenna adapter - Wiring harness adapter - Kenwood DNX691HD nav radio, 4 6x8 Infinity Kappa speakers, two amplifiers, and a 10" subwoofer box all just sitting in my garage now.. And not only do they not fit in this new truck.. apparently NOTHING does and there are currently NO aftermarket solutions... love having a couple grand worth of audio equipment that I cant even use now sitting in the garage while I listen to the crappy BASE stereo system in my nice new truck >
