aftermarket head units?
Alright need a little help here! im new to the forum and ford trucks! I had a sub in my old truck and am missing the depth of my music! i'm thinking that a double din reciever will fit in my stock spot but i want to double check for sure. Also i want to see some of your boxes underneath the rear seat. I have an 07 ford f150 extended cab. Pics and measurements would be welcome!! Or diagrams if there are any out there! thanks guys!

As time progresses radio models change. I was going to buy a Pioneer 4200DVD some years ago BUT as of lately I decided to go for the pioneer avh-p4300DVD and i LOVE it!!! I can't even express how great it is, it's seriously awsome.

If you just want a little bump... Stay with the factory and just add the OEM sub.... I just pulled mine out cause I wanted more "BOOOOM"....
This is not my actual photo of my OEM sub but this is the exact one.... My new setup I will have photos soon..

Well you also don't have to change your headunit to get a system. That's definitely the cheaper way to go. I paid 15 bucks for a line output converter and it splices into your stock speaker wires. That will give you the RCA outputs you need. Then just run the power remote wire to a fuse. You have to find one that is always on when the truck is on though. I can look at my trick later to see what fuse I used to use when I had my stock stereo.

For relativity short money, I installed a jensen(pioneer next time) new speakers all around and an 8" bazooka. Took about two hours. It won't knock your socks off but a hell of a lot better than the stock system.
