Question Advise on new shocks/struts for '05 F150 XLT 5.4

Forgot to add that its a 4X4

Okay - so heres the deal. My b/f's truck needs new shocks/struts all the way around. It has around 165000kms on it. He does heavy bush driving for hunting, trapping, fishing and camping etc. I have looked all over the net and found nothing on supsension for this thing and I'm getting SUPER frustrated!!!

I am wanting to get him these for x-mas this year and I have been told to get the following: Monroe, Skyjacker, Bilstein and Rancho. I can't afford much as I'm going to school BUT he also needs something that is going to hold up to the job.

ALSO I have found a couple of the above names listed BUT no one seems to have the part # etc. I can get Monroes here locally but they wouldn't even give me a part number.

If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what you have, liked ot disliked, pricing etc.

Thanks for your time Sarah

The bilsteins are the most common shocks used, but they are not cheap, especially in canada (assuming since you said kms vs miles) usuall they run around 300 us dollars for a pair.

I was looking just the other day at 4wheelparts and they had a special on Rancho shocks going on for all 4. Seemed like a good deal, but I haven't priced them before.
