Advice for 2wd SCREW XLT level/tires
Hi guys,
I have a 2008 XLT SCREW that I want to level and add new wheels/tires.
Right now apex of front wheel well measures 34.5" and rear measures 37". Wheels are OEM 17" with Toyo Open Country HT 255/65r17.
I'm looking at getting Rancho Quicklifts for the front shocks and Rancho RS9000 shocks for the rear. Based on what I've read, that should put me level (or very close) and give me room for 18" XD wheels (Hoss, Monster, or other) with 285/65r18 Toyo Open Country AT's.
Rancho has a rebate deal going right now, so I could pick up the full set of shocks (front quicklifts/rear rs9000) for about $450 shipped.
Can anyone tell me if this seems like a sound plan? Will I have clearance for those tires, and what offset will I need?

I don't have a 2wd, but the ranchos lift the front about 2.5 inches I think? That should be plenty of room for the tires your thinking of, my truck has a 3 inch leveling kit and I have 315/70r17's and they fit just fine. The 285/65r18's are just shy of 33 inches tall and just over 11 inches wide so they are just a bit wider than my stock tires were.
